Scott's Hospital, Gladstone Road, Huntly
Architect A Marshall Mackenzie, who also designed the façade of Marischal College in Aberdeen. The hospital, with its astonishing Perpendicular tower, for 'the elderly destitute' is now a care home. Grade-A listed (LB34962): http://portal.historicenvironment.scot/designation/LB34962 .

The hospital was founded by a bequest from Dr Alexander Scott, who died in 1833, as a home for destitute elderly people. The exuberant front and tower were added in about 1900 to a design by A Marshall Mackenzie. It is now a care home.

Huntly Station ? south end signals and signal box
The station remained entirely mechanically signalled in 2022. A feature that probably dates from the singling of the line – it was formerly double track – is that both tracks through the station are signalled for use in both directions, unusual with mechanical signalling.
