Checking the Sheep
I had been aware of a lot of bleating going on from about a mile away. The sheep have been brought in for scanning to see how many lambs they are carrying. They pass through a machine with a roller than performs the scan as they pass over it. The wonders of modern technology! Ewes carrying twins or triplets get different rations from ewes carrying only one.

Get Off My Land!
I was quite glad that there was a fence between me and this amazingly aggressive goose, who came rushing up to me hooting and extending his wings in a threatening manner. He pecked viciously at my boot and trouser leg when I put the toe of my boot through the fence to see what he would do. Thanks to Hugh Venables for telling me that he is a Cape Barren Goose. This species (Cereopsis novaehollandiae) is native to south-eastern Australia.

Livestock at Edinglassie
In the background are some of the sheep which have been brought in for a check by the farmer. In the foreground is a flock of ducks, peacefully ignoring the goose featuring in Image], who seemed to think I was a threat to him or possibly them.

Edinglassie Doocot
The doocot is the only remaining trace of Edinglassie Castle, which stood a few tens of metres away. See https://canmore.org.uk/site/17277/edinglassie-dovecot for details. The present farm house at Edinglassie Mains is on the left.
