Railway line south of Gartly
The former Great North of Scotland Railway line from Aberdeen to Elgin, later linked through to Inverness. A feature of this view is the continued presence of traditional telegraph lines on poles which have largely disappeared from the railway landscape although once ubiquitous. The lines are an integral and essential element of the traditional signalling system still in use on this section.
