Beldorney Castle
Best seen in winter when the leafless trees allow a view from the public road, Beldorney Castle is a Z-plan castle dating from the 16th century. In the 15th century Beldorney was granted to Sir James Ogilvy of Deskford, and in the 16th century it passed, possibly through marriage, to George Gordon, 1st of Beldorney. in the late 18th century it was sold to Sir William Grant, whose family retained it until 1919.
