Park, Monymusk
An area set aside for Pétanque with the hill runners course marked coming in from the road. At this time runners were climbing Pitfichie Hill and Cairn William. Across the road there are some new houses arranged in a square like the older village centre.

Monymusk Primary School
Dating from 1907 and typical, solid Aberdeenshire granite construction. The school roll is 55 pupils in 2016-2017, although this is surely set to increase given the number of new-builds in the village (one of which is just visible to the left).

Event HQ, Cosmic Hill Runners
A hill race was in progress on Cairn William, and the prizes look appetising. We never got bottles of wine when orienteering - then again, hill runners often miss out on the often beautiful maps.

9-11 The Square, Monymusk
Picturesque estate cottages from ca. 1840 and rebuilt in 1891 with diamond-pane windows and ornate porches. Farther along is the more austere No. 8, designed by John Smith.
