Oldmeldrum - the birthplace of Sir Patrick Manson
Sir Patrick Manson (1844-1922) was one of Scotland's greatest medical scientists. He worked on tropical diseases such as Malaria and he founded the London School of Tropical Medicine in 1899.

Last of the Meadow
The meadows used to be a fairly large green area south of Oldmeldrum now it's a small area with scrub on one side and farmland on the other. Bennachie, as ever, looms large in the distance.

A south facing house on the edge of Oldmeldrum which was once part of a small estate.

Autumnal Cromlet
Leaves and moss on wet roof tiles on an outbuilding with Mill Road heading south. The edge of the trees would have been both the end of Cromlet Estate and Oldmeldrum itself at one time.

Redhouse Sheep
Sheep grazing at Redhouse Farm , which is to the left up a track just visible by the gates. Behind in the distance is the mass of Tap O' Noth and the three hills around Insch in front with Dunnideer on the right its castle ruin just discernale on top.
