Jock's Bar
Known locally as "Jock's" the Morris Hotel is the oldest licensed premises in Oldmeldrum having opened in 1673. The door shown opens directly into the old low ceilinged bar.

Morris's Hotel
Founded in 1673 Morris's Hotel is the oldest in Oldmeldrum. It is named after George Morris the "Buchan Chiel". He had married the sister of Willie Kemp, the King of the Cornkisters, the Kemp family ran the hotel. The door shown is the main hotel entrance and to the lounge.

Built 1877 and B-listed: http://portal.historicenvironment.scot/designation/LB38892 . The Urquhart coat of arms (Or, three boars' heads erased gules) is thought to come from the previous town house on the site.
