Seen from the road to Aberchirder. In its heyday it must have been a pleasant setting for an asylum.

Ladysbridge Hospital
I am told that this squat and unsightly building was the boiler house and at the right hand side, the end of the laundry department. Within the laundry department, the lost property section remains completely intact and everything from NHS glasses, staff badges and medals can be seen in there. Let us hope that the redevelopment of the hospital site will include the demolition of this eyesore, reminiscent of the worst of WWII military architecture.

The sign at the end of the access road says that the former Ladysbridge Hospital is to be redeveloped as housing. The whole site is surrounded by a temporary fence. This is the east end.
