Viewed from the old St Mary's Kirkyard. The pink house on the left is No 1, a merchant's house dating from 1675. Next to it, No 3 is the house of Thomas Forbes, silvermsith, built in 1740. No 5, the Market Arms, is the oldest continuously occupied house in Banff, dating from 1585.

The magnificent pink house with bartizan tower from ca. 1675 is A-listed (LB22004; http://portal.historicenvironment.scot/designation/LB22004 ) and its neighbour to the right from ca. 1740 is B-listed (LB22005): http://portal.historicenvironment.scot/designation/LB22005 .
