Wilson's Academy
The classical building was designed by William Robertson and dates from 1837. The main portico has six Ionic columns, and the end pavilions have Corinthian columns. Originally it housed both the Academy and the Museum belonging to the Banff Institution for Science, Literature and the Arts. It still houses Banff Primary School, but secondary pupils now have to make do with much less uplifting architecture.

The house on the right, No 5, with the Victorian rustic porch, was at one time the town house of Lord Banff. The porch on No 3 is more classical in style, but the houses themselves date from the early 1760s.

Collie lodge, Banff
Once the gatehouse to Duff House some 500 metres to the south, it now serves as the town's tourist office. Unusually, it was on the opposite side of the road to the driveway to the house (originally situated behind the photographer, but now subsumed by the town car park). B-listed (LB22038): http://portal.historicenvironment.scot/designation/LB22038 .
