Eroded Gravestone
The stone is of sandstone, but the pattern of erosion suggests that it is calcareous sandstone. The other side is faced with a white marble slab bearing the inscription.

Macduff - Parish Church
"Two buildings in Macduff dominate the skyline - the war memorial erected in 1921 to commemorate those who gave their lives in the 1914-19 war and Macduff Parish Church (or Doune Church) built during an earlier war in 1805, the year of the Battle of Trafalgar".
This church is notable for its tower which has only 3 out of 4 clock faces - it doesn't give the folk of Banff across the bay the time of day!
