Coltsfoot (Tussilago farfara)
Late March is towards the end of the flowering period of this plant, which is easy to identify from its scaly stem and the absence of leaves. The leaves appear much later, after the flowers have faded. This was one of a patch on the grass just above the foreshore.

School Street/Frederick Street in Inverallochy
Looking south-eastward. At the point where I am stood the street sign on the right indicates School Street whilst the one on the left is Frederick Street. I presumably was stood in 'no mans land'!
