St John's Church, Longside
As you enter Longside from the east from Peterhead. The tower is a landmark for miles around. Very handsome church hall in foreground.

Airship Propeller in St. John's Church at Longside
A propeller recovered from the crash site of the only airship to be lost on duty from the WW1 station at Lenabo, near Longside.
The inscription reads;
AFT PROPELLER 220 H.P. RENAULT
FROM
H.M.A. C25
LOST AT SEA ON ACTIVE SERVICE 31/7/1918

St John's Episcopal Church, Longside
Built in 1853 to the east of the village and B-listed (LB9419:
http://portal.historicenvironment.scot/designation/LB9419 ). Architect William Hay (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Hay_(architect) ), who spent most of his career in Canada. The church is surrounded by trees and photography is tricky.
