Clubhouse for Maud FC
The club play in the impressively named Scottish Junior Football North Premier League. The pitch is a few hundred metres to the west.

Maud Station
Maud was once a rail junction where trains from Aberdeen were split to run on the Fraserburgh and Peterhead lines. Today, the former trackways are long distance footpaths - The Formartine and Buchan Way. A small railway museum in a "unit" on the old central platform is sometimes open. Beyond the station car park are the Station Hotel and the Spar shop.

Station Hotel, Maud
The name is a reminder that Maud was once an important railway junction where the lines from Aberdeen to Peterhead and Fraserburgh diverged, although passenger services ended in 1965 and the tracks were lifted in 1979.
