Kilmarnock Arms Hotel, Cruden Bay
originally a coaching Inn for a stage of the Peterhead to Aberdeen route ( stables still prominent) Bram Stoker stayed here and supposedly got the inspiration for Dracula from nearby Slains Castle. Although Whitby in England makes a similar claim!

Kilmarnock Arms Hotel in Cruden Bay
This is the place where novelist Bram Stoker stayed, when he wrote the novel on Count Dracula, inspired by the nearby atmospheric setting of the ruined Slains Castle. I inspected the hotel guest register from the year 1894 and found the author's original signature.
