Clydesdale Bank, Market Street, Ellon
On the datestone above the door: North of Scotland Bank 1877. Both Clydesdale and the NoS Bank were owned by the Midland Bank and they were merged in around 1950: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clydesdale_Bank .

Moot Hill
A symbolic seating place serving as a reminder of the time that Ellon had its own Barony Court held at the Moot Hill. The original hill has gone and the courts too being abandoned after the defeat of Buchan by Bruce in 1308.
