Approaching Fedderat Cairn
The Canmore website describes Fedderat Cairn as a heavily mutilated, turf-covered cairn about 12.0m in diameter and roughly 0.6m high. Around 1860, a cist containing human bones was discovered here. The cairn wasn't easy to find as the site is heavily overgrown and the field boundaries shown on the Explorer Map no longer exist.

At The New House hut circle
The New House comprises the remains of a hut circle from the late Bronze Age or Iron Age, lying on the top of a small grassy hill. It may date from the same period as nearby Fedderat Cairn. The large pile of stones probably has been enlarged by clearance from the neighbouring fields.
