Methlick Motors
Not just a filling station, but a regular glory hole of useful tools, equipment and work clothing. It is right at the junction of the B9170 with the B9005.

Ythanview Hotel, Methlick
Originally the Methlick (Temperance) Institute and built by the local laird ca. 1880 in an attractive whitewashed 'cottage' style, unusual for rural Aberdeenshire. Now definitely not a stronghold of temperance but it does sell real ale and is family friendly.

Old milestone
This is one of 3 stones found on the 5 mile route between Haddo House and Gight Castle, now a ruin. It is in Methlick on the pavement opposite the church. HH can be seen on the bevel.

Methlick new kirk
The new (and present) Parish Kirk dating from 1865 and B-listed: http://portal.historic-scotland.gov.uk/designation/LB16462 . The rather unusual T-shape was apparently to accommodate the Laird's gallery (the Earl of Aberdeen).
