High Street
Passing through Drumlithie, you can easily overlook the mae of narrow streets to the north of the present main road. This one, although called High Street, is narrow and twisting, and one section of it has an 'Unsuitable for HGVs' sign.

The Steeple
The free-standing steeple has nothing to do with calling the faithful to worship. Its bell used to signal the start and finish of the working day for the village's weavers, but these days the only time it is heard is to ring in the New Year. It is said that the locals are so proud of their unusual steeple that they take it in when it rains. But I couldn't possibly comment.

An Old House in Croft Road
I was almost tempted to go an hide the wheelie bins, on the grounds that they spoil the view of this 18th century house, or rather houses, because the building seems to contain two separate dwellings. It was originally a coaching inn.

An Old House in Croft Road
This house looks as if it dates from the 18th century, though it would have been quite upmarket in its day, having two storeys. It was originally the coaching inn. In the foreground, rhubarb that has shot.
