Looking across the shore at Cowie and across Stonehaven Bay. The monument on the hill in the distance is the Stonehaven War Memorial on Black Hill - a local landmark.

Sculpture, Stonehaven, Kincardineshire
There are several of these sculptures along the front at Stonehaven. When they first began to appear it was not known who the sculptor was so he became known as the Stonehaven Banksy. He was later revealed to be Jim Malcolm, a retired welder.

Cowie
Former fishing village, now caught up in the urban spread of Stonehaven. It is sited on a raised beach and has two streets of cottages, running parallel to the sea.
