Coat of Arms on Mercat Cross, Stonehaven
Coat-of-arms is Marischal. Cross dates back to ca 1645, so maybe initials refer to William Earl Marischal of the day. Cross was re-modelled for Queen Victoria's visit of 1887.

Boardwalk features, Stonehaven Bay
In a garden of spring flowers there is a cormorant with fish (metal sculpture) and a winged dragon (wood carving). On the opposite sign of the alleyway to Stonehave Harbour there is a Belvedere conservatory affording views over the bay. Was this once a coastguard lookout station I wonder?
