Bridge of Alltglander
I presume that this tiny bridge, now completely overgrown, once carried all the traffic up and down the glen.

Bridge of Alltglander
This bridge is marked on the 1869 OS 6 inch map of the area. It was the only track up Strath Avon and has since been replaced by a modern concrete bridge. The wooden fence over the Allt na Glander in place to keep deer out of the nature reserve on the other side of the bridge. Rather surprisingly the bridge doesn't appear to be listed.

A beautiful specimen of a favourite toadstool.
This is the Fly Agaric or Amanita muscaria. It's a most familiar toadstool first coming to our attention in children's books. It is highly poisonous, charged with muscimol and muscarino, one hallucinogenic and the other sweat inducing. I'm afraid you don't get a choice as to which one kicks in first!
