Railway trackbed, near Aboyne
West of the minor road to Muir of Dess, the trackbed is not an official route. It is however useable and well used. As a result the path is narrower and this is a very pleasant bit of the old railway.

Old Railway Line (West)
This is the trackbed of the former Deeside Line looking west. Compare this with the view eastwards from the same spot Image It suddenly gets much trickier if you are cycling westwards!
