Cones Rule OK!
This mini-forest of traffic cones is to warn drivers not to attempt to cross the old bridge, but to take the diversion via the Bailey bridge nearby. Anyone who fails to notice the cones, or the bright red barriers which have been flattened by the wind, will find themselves face to face with a pair of solid concrete blocks across the access to the old bridge.

Glenkindie Bridge
This bridge spans the River Don, carrying the unclassified road to Towie. It is single-track and has long had a sign saying 'weak bridge', but now it has been bypassed by a Bailey bridge just downstream.

Bridge at Glenkindie
The bridge has now been bypassed by a Bailey bridge. Note the concrete block making sure that no-one will succeed in driving over it now that it has apparently been condemned.

Bailey Bridge
The Bailey bridge just downstream of the old bridge, seen from the latter, which can still be crossed on foot - probably more safely than walking on the narrow replacement.

Cones and Barriers
The barriers are rather less successful than the cones, having been flattened by the wind, but the message is clear - use the Bailey bridge to cross the River Don.
