Howe Trinity parish kirk, Alford
Built in 1867 at the east end of the village and originally the free kirk (the tower was never completed). The established church was very inconveniently located about 3 km west at Kirkton of Alford.

Howe of Alford
A howe is an area of flat land, and the area around Alford is a classic example. It is fertile farmland, and played an important part in the development of agriculture. In the distance is the long ridge of Bennachie, a bank of early morning mist at its feet.
