Alford Valley Railway Museum, former station at Alford
View NE, towards Kintore: it had been the terminus of the ex-GNSR branch from Kintore, closed to passengers 2/1/50, to goods 3/1/66. Since 1980 it has featured a 2 ft. gauge miniature railway, running 0.84 mile to Haughton Park.

Howe Trinity parish kirk, Alford
Built in 1867 at the east end of the village and originally the free kirk (the tower was never completed). The established church was very inconveniently located about 3 km west at Kirkton of Alford.

An anonymous inn (hotel?) on Alford Main Street
Facing the entrance road to Alford Station Museum (Stewart Street?). It (no name displayed!) does not appear to be still trading in May 2017, but its position on Main Street, and its proximity to what was an important rural rail link to Aberdeen and beyond from 1859 to 1965, may suggest there to have been some synergy between them in the past. If any viewer can supply any information in that regard I would be grateful.
