A crest on the Burnett Arms in Banchory
This crest (Royal?) is mounted on the facade of the Burnett Arms Hotel in Banchory, but does not contain either of the distinctive features of the arms of the Burnett family (oak leaves and a hunting horn). Can anyone please enlighten me as to the connections? Meanwhile the hotel seems to have decided the crest requires protection from would-be roosters!

Burnett Arms Hotel, Banchory
The traditional AA sign hangs outside this old coaching inn on Banchory's High Street. Queen Victoria is reputed to have stayed here once on her way to Balmoral. In the background is the tower of Banchory Ternan West Parish Church.
