Chasing the 'monkey' down King Street
An 'escaped monkey' is chased down the pavement of King Street, Aberdeen by its 'keepers'. This was part of a publicity stunt to raise awareness of the Aberdeen Student Charities Campaign's latest fund-raising efforts. They are passing the former post office at 16 King Street. Stamp vending machines can be seen in the wall, and a pillar box is located beside it.

King Street vista
The southern end of King Street, just above where it connects to Union Street and the Castlegate. The lack of cars on a Saturday morning is definitely a statistical freak.

St Andrew's Cathedral
This is one of Aberdeen's three cathedrals. It is at the foot of King Street and was designed by Archibald Simpson in 1816, in perpendicular style. This Episcopalian cathedral is also the mother church for USA episcopalians. It is not granite, but Craigleith sandstone.
