Old pulleys on the site of Woodside Mill
This was the site of a cotton spinning mill that was later acquired by Alexander Pirie and Sons and used to prepare rags for use in paper-making. All that is left is this set of rope drive pulleys and gear wheels. There is a nearby interpretation board describing the history of the site but shedding little light on this power transmission machinery.

Woodside railway station (site), Aberdeenshire, 2017
Opened in 1858 on the Great North of Scotland Railway's line from Aberdeen to Keith, this station closed to passengers in 1937. View west towards Bucksburn and Keith. A year after this image was taken, the line was redoubled and nearly all trace of the old platforms seen here has now gone.
