Rubislaw Terrace Lane
This is a classic example of a back lane giving service access to the rear of genteel residential streets - Rubislaw Terrace on the left and Albert Terrace on the right. All the houses in both terraces are Category B Listed, and many are now offices.

Rubislaw Terrace, Aberdeen
This imposing B-listed terrace (http://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/sc-20476-1-26-inclusive-numbers-rubislaw-terrace-a ) was once described as "superior to anything of their class in the aristocratic quarter of almost any town in Scotland" (Groome's 1886 Ordnance Gazetteer of Scotland, available on-line) but every one now appears to be converted to offices.

Garages behind Albert Terrace
The houses in Albert Terrace are all listed buildings, but the garages that back on to Rubislaw Terrace Lane are not. The second one here has a curious roof, almost like a lantern roof.

Rubislaw Terrace (study in greyness)
Seen on a day when granite and sky are almost indistinguisbhable, this fine granite terrace in Scottish baronial style was built in the 1850s and is B-listed: http://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/sc-20476-1-26-inclusive-numbers-rubislaw-terrace-a . I think that every one is now an office.
