The block between Rose Street (left) and Chapel Street, with an extravagant five storey edifice in the centre. The cones and temporary traffic lights are to facilitate social distancing as the coronavirus lockdown is eased in July 2020.

Ethnic paradise?
Rose Street must have about a dozen ethnic restaurants and carry-outs (take-aways). Here we see the Shahbaaz curry house and Marman's kebab house at street level and the Bhan Thai restaurant on the first floor. It must get a bit overpowering in the flats above...

Aberdeen - Capitol, Union Street
The Capitol is a listed building and former cinema, built 1933. In 2016 the front third is under renovation and the derelict auditorium behind is being replaced with a 10 storey building.
The "Platinum Line" bus is heading west to upmarket Culter.
