Believed to be at Banbury and likely has come off the Great Central route from Woodford Halse. If it is indeed Banbury, the signal box on the right was adjacent to the engine shed. The locomotive is seen here in steam but it was to be included in the first batch of 5 A4s withdrawn in the following December of '62. At the time of withdrawal it was nominally allocated to King's Cross depot. By this time, the North Eastern 'runners' were firmly in the hands of the 'Deltic' diesels and the A4s were relegated to secondary duties. From Wiki: Andrew Kirkwood McCosh, J.P., D.L.
