Opened in 1955 as "The Shoulder Of Mutton", it changed its name to "The Heworth" in 2018. The Shoulder of Mutton had previously been at 74 Heworth Green until the early 1950s.. This building was shown as Clifton House, a private residence, on the 1889 OS Town Plan.
