War Department Boundary Marker standing against the stone wall of an electricity substation between a house and a park on the northeast side of Bowerham Road, Lancaster. The inscription W ↑ D / No 1 has been effaced. This marked the boundary of the former Bowerham Barracks (King's Own Royal Regiment, c.1873 to 1959), now a campus of the University of Cumbria.
