Ash Tree Bridge is No 62 across the Trent and Mersey Canal near Brereton in Rugeley. The bridge carries the A513 Rugeley Road. There is a deceptively sharp turn for narrowboats approaching the bridge hole here, and oncoming craft cannot be seen by the tillerman until a very late stage. Boats can pass each other if they meet, but only if the oncoming vessel is already well to the left, and even then it is a tight squeeze. :-)
