The plaque records the dedication of a new extension on 12th December 1925 by Bishop G H [George Horsfall] Frodsham, Vicar of Halifax. It's unusual for a clergyman to go from being bishop back to being a parish priest, but his service as Bishop had been in Australia and he had returned to the county of his birth.
