The Moor Pool Estate is a Garden Suburb founded by John Sutton Nettlefold between 1907 and 1912, consisting of around 500 houses built across 54 acres. One of the estate's characteristic features is the extensive network of narrow pathways, usually hedged, which run between and behind the houses and which are mainly still used. One is visible in this picture. See http://moorpoolhall.org.uk/heritage/history.html for history of the estate.
