Formerly known as Craigard, Image was reopened in 2019 under the same name and under the same ownership as the famous hotel at Mussoorie in the Indian state of Uttarakhand, coincidentally built in the same year (1840) and in a similar Victorian style. Here at Invergarry a Gaelic version of the name has also been devised, according to Dwelly's dictionary meaning "Manor of wrinkling, tangling or corrugation".
