Originally built in the early 19th century, and presumably used in connection with the fishing trade or as a wharfside store, this unusual-looking building was known as the Copper Kettle (cafe?) and Wimpy Bar by the time it was Grade II listed https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101327835-the-copper-kettle-and-wimpey-bar-st-ives#.Ydi9vP7P3IU & https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1327835 in 1972.
