The Geograph project started in 2005 with the aim of publishing, organising and preserving representative images for every square kilometre of Great Britain, Ireland and the Isle of Man.

And this explains all about Image and Image The label "Caution Fibre Overhead" is new, and the first in Bourne. A company called Lightspeed has been contracted by Openreach to make "Fibre to the premises" a reality for domestic customers. Where poles and dropwires are currently used this will be the norm too for optical fibre. All of this is necessary because in 2025 the traditional analogue telephone service will be turned off and every phone will be a VOIP phone.
