This was the final remaining arch of the Lancashire Derbyshire & East Coast Railway's line from Chesterfield Market Place station to Lincoln - it famously reached neither Lancashire nor the East Coast! View north from the current railway line on a snowy day at the start of 1984. It was demolished soon after.
