Colsor, number 3 West Street, is a former farmhouse built in the mid to late 17th century. Timber farmed with the ground floor encased in 18th century chequer-board pattern brick and the first floor encased in brick in the 19th century. Some original internal features remain. Listed, grade II, with details at: https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1331732 Isleham is a rural fenland village situated about 6 miles north of Newmarket and some 7 miles south east of Ely. The village is renowned for the Isleham Hoard of more than 6500 pieces of bronze from the late Bronze Age. The priory of St Margaret of Antioch was founded in the village circa 1090.
