The highest block (Block B) of the Pavilions Student Village often looks rather ominous at night, being strongly illuminated in a stale green colour. This comes from the Sport Centre's astroturf pitch located immediately adjacent, itself illuminated by floodlights (visible on the extreme right), creating an intense green light source. The road junction on the right leads to Campus Way, the main road through the University but directly providing access to the Lincoln Courts student accommodation.
