Green plaque at Ellerslie House

A green plaque on the wall of the lodge to Ellerslie House which was a water cure establishment in the 19th century. Thomas Attwood, one of Birmingham's first MPs was treated here and died here in 1856. He is buried at nearby Hanley Castle Image Recently the house has been converted into retirement apartments.
