ASB and drug use. During local police surgeries it has been highlighted by local residents that youths are causing ASB particularly around the Mercer Road and Greenfield sites.

A number of initiatives have taken place with our local partner agencies including action days and clean up events and will continue.

ASB and drug use have been the main concerns raised by the local community during police surgeries. Local residents state that youths are causing ASB particularly around the Mercer Road and Greenfield sites.
Issues have also been raised regarding youths gathering in Greenacres Park, Noctorum and the use of off road bikes.

There have been many days of action conducted with partners to address the ongoing issues and more planned to take place in the near future. Officers are working closely with housing associations and council ASB team to take robust action against those impacting the lives of residents. The use of the council mobile CCTV van is being used to capture evidence and Op Gears which is a robust response targeting Serious Organised Crime (SOC), robbery and ASB linked to the illegal use of two-wheeled vehicles is being utilised in the area too.
