The valley east of the Cheesewring seen from the trackbed of the dismantled railway that followed the 300m contour towards Minions. In the middle distance is the site of the Phoenix mine (copper and tin) that flourished in the 19th century but ceased production in the early 20th century. On the horizon is the faint outline of Kit Hill, near Callington
