Originally a tide mill "used as a corn mill until 1945. 2½ storeys replacing 1 storey building" https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1306762 . Now the town's Tourist Information Centre. See also http://www.geograph.org.uk/search.php?i=119912633 . I suspect these pedestrian crossing traffic lights change more often than almost any other in South Devon.
