Incident in Morningside

Apparently a women and child were hit by a car that mounted the pavement. Ambulance, fire engine and some of the police vehicles had left the scene, but there were still about ten police vehicles and numerous police officers present. The A702, a major route south out of Edinburgh, was closed, as well as pedestrian access. Update 1 July: sadly the 3-year-old child died.
