* Reduce Youth offending in Oaklands Recreation park

* Reduce crime in and around the Swan shopping centre.

* Anti-social behaviour in flats around the South Yardley area but in addition set ASB patrols conducted by PCSO’s to gather intelligence and be in the right place at the right time.

Response (14 May 2024)

* Regular operations in and around the park to conduct stop and searches of any persons carrying weapons. Youths are identified and arrested swiftly and work closely with youth offending service. Use of social media to highlight good work

* Patrols are held in and around the Swan shopping centre, engaging with the staff on a regular basis, this will give re-assurance to the community.

* Regular partnership meetings are held with our councillors, housing and environmental teams to tackle ASB in our flats that cause residents issues, we work jointly and in partnership to agree a joint strategy to reduce the issues together.

* Reduce Youth offending in Oaklands Recreation park, Ackers and Small Heath Park
* Reduce crime in and around the Swan shopping centre and Yew Tree – specifically focusing on Shoplifters, ASB and Street Cohort.
* Reduce Anti-social behaviour in flats around the South Yardley area with regular patrols and work in partnership with owners of the property to put further security measures in place for residents.
* Conduct targeted patrols focusing on ASB and Serious Youth Violence to prevent offences being conducted, offering the community reassurance.
* Reduce Inconsiderate Parking in around areas by ticketing owners.
* Reduce various types of Vehicle Crime in the area, focusing on ASB use, Parking issues, Thefts of and from vehicles and untaxed vehicles.

Response (28 Nov 2024)

*Regular patrols being conducted by the team covering targeted areas of the flats, shopping centres, numerous arrests have been made during this time, positive action taken and offenders charged and convicted.
*Every Wednesday meetings organised at a local church for CGL and Offender2Rehab to attend and focus on helping Street Cohort with addiction & housing and further support provided to help offenders into rehab. Any offences are dealt with swiftly by the Offender2rehab scheme.
* Regular patrols in and around the parks to conduct stop and searches of any persons relating to Robbery, weapon offences and the use of drugs. This was a hotspot over the summer period. Help was enlisted from WMP’s Guardian task force team and Neighbourhood teams conducted regular team action days with targeted patrols in and around the park.
* Patrols are held in and around the Swan shopping centre and Yew Tree, engaging with the staff on a regular basis, providing re-assurance to the community. This has helped identify numerous offenders for various offences where suspects have been prosecuted and referred for the right help.
* Issuing tickets for inconsiderate parking in the local area, these are targeted patrols from intelligence reports and this is also conducted through our daily patrols in the area. 1 PCSO on the team has issued 84 tickets alone from 1/24 – 11/24. Some of these vehicles are also showing untaxed and have been towed away under DVLA powers.
*Street Watch – these are being arranged and carried out, the latest being Berkeley Road, Hob moor road and the surrounding roads. This has highlighted issues around ASB where motorbikes are being taken on and off road.
* Regular partnership meetings are held with our councillors, housing to tackle ASB in the area that cause residents issues, working jointly in partnership reduce the issues together.
