Horwich locomotive works had an extensive network of 18 inch gauge railway lines used to transport materials around the site, worked by a fleet of these delightful little locomotives. When the system closed in 1962, 'Wren' was preserved at the works in the then current BR lined-out livery. Following closure of the works it became part of the National Railway Collection and is on display at York https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/5642375 in its original Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway livery.
